5-7th of August, Audio Exotics, our distributor in Hongkong, gave a big show at the Hongkong Highend audio show 2022 in the HKCEC.
They received a lot of visitors, 2168 to be exactly (see picture down below). Visitors where leaving the show very enthusiastic and with good memories. Chris and his team are capable to set up the best system possible, because they have the profonde knowledge how each component performs and how to combine each component into a system within a room with all acoustic boundaries given. They also have great knowledge about artists, performances, history and musical influences across time. They know how each performance should sound in real life and what they have to do, to reproduce that.
This year they also arranged a professional video team to document the complete event and to let enthusiast who weren’t able to join, have a taste of the great system in their own homes.
In room S226 of the HKCEC, Audio Exotics setup not one, but two systems, just like last year. Each system on a different side of the room for the best performance possible:
System 1
The first system consists of the great Goebel Divin Marquis loudspeakers with a pair of their brand new subwoofers combined with Arya Air Blade Signature 180 degree tweeters. The speaker set is driven by a Rivierlab APL-1SE preamplifier (WELLFLOAT Babel underneath) and a couple of AFM-1 SE mono power amplifiers. The subwoofers have their amplifiers inside.
The digital source is a complete stack of Wadax Atlantis Reference series gear with the premier of the Reference Power Supply for Atlantis Reference Server in Asia. The complete stack is placed on a WELLFLOAT Pegasus rack system. Other electronics are placed on a Falkenohr 516 rack and a SRA craze 3.0. Virginia.2 amplifier stands are the best in the world from SRA.
Analog source is the world premiere of the Grand Prix Audio Monaco 3.0 analog turntable, with the Titanic Audio Model G flagship cartridge on a Thales Statement arm, feeding JMF Audio PHS 7.3 flagship phono stage.
Acoustics will be controlled by full suite of the Acoustics Grove System.
AC conditioners are Cloud 9 from Pranawire and JMF Audio 102/302.
Ground filtrations is done by 3x Tripoint Audio Troy Signature NG in system 1 and 1 x Tripoint Troy Elite in system 2.
EMI filtrations by 1 pair of Tripoint Empress connected to the Divin Marquis.
Cables are of course from Ikigai Audio and a mixture of Esprit Cables, Dalby Audio Design, Skogrand cables and Sternklang.
Room Polarisation by Esprit Nova.
WELLFLOAT delta extreme underneath Goebel Divin Marquis and Goebel subwoofers.
System 2:
The second system consists of the AudioNec EVO3 speakers, driven by the Dartzeel CTH8550 integrated amplifier. Analog source is Da Vinci AE Equilibrium turntable with two tone arms, the EMT 909 and the 912, who are newly engineered by Micha Huber. Cartridges on the 912 and 909 arm are respectively the EMT Novel gold and the EMT TSD Novel. EMT128 and Synaestec Igniculus phono stage respectively serves the two tone arms. Digital source is the Wadax Atlantis DAC with Ediscreation Bach server alongside with a whole stack of the award winning switch, linear power supply and fiber box by Ediscreation.

If you look closely at the photo’s you can spot each IKIGAI cable. A lot of our cables are easily visible because of their unique sleeve and red leather identification.
Chris from Audio Exotics choose the right cable for each position in system 1. You can find our cables in a lot of critical points. i.e our KINZAN powercord on the Rivierlab APL-1SE preamp.
System 2 mostly used IKIGAI audio cables.
