about TANSO
The TANSO level is positioned as a premium reference level above IKIGAI’s KINZAN and KINZAN-S series, suitable for the most demanding audiophiles.
The name TANSO means freely translated to English means ‘Carbon’, referring to one of the cable shields used.
The first introduced cable is the TANSO Interconnect. This cable is a reference-grade interconnect. Engineered for absolute signal integrity, mechanical stability, and most natural sonic representation. This cable was designed and created with a single goal to:
- Preserve the signal.
- With no artificial filtering.
- With no tonal coloration.
Achieved with only controlled physics, noble materials, and natural insulation, for the most demanding high-end systems where realism, musical flow, speed, transparency, noise rejection, and micro-dynamics matter most.
PHILOSOPHY
This cable is not an accessory.
It really is a signal transmission system.
Designed by physics.
Hand built by Dutch craftsmanship.
Tuned for an exceptional musical experience.
Connecting your passion.
What You Will Hear
Not “more sound” — but more truth in the signal.
“With only controlled physics, noble materials and natural insulation, for the most demanding high-end systems. Where realism, musical flow, speed, transparency, noise rejection, and micro-dynamics matter most.”
Interconnect:

SILVER CONDUCTORS
At the core of the design lies ultra-pure silver — the most conductive metal known. The silver strands used are specially filigree made for IKIGAI audio® Each covering an effective Signal Area of almost 1.00 mm² per polarity (AWG ~17.5).
NEW IMPROVED STAR QUAD ARCHITECTURE
We refined the star quad geometry for an even better high-end audio performance.
This geometry advantages are:
- Superior noise rejection
- Reduced inductance
- Enhanced channel separation
- Improved spatial stability
NATURAL COTTON DIELECTRIC
Instead of Teflon insulation, this cable uses a new improved, ultra fine, natural cotton, to maintain a predominantly air-based dielectric environment. The cotton is protected with a very low capacity layer, to keep characteristics constant over time. This Mechanical stability directly translates into sonic stability.
Result:
- Lower dielectric absorption
- Reduced phase distortion
- Improved signal purity
- Natural vibration damping
- Low microphonic effect
CARBON AND COPPER MESH SHIELDING
Instead of just using one layer, the TANSO uses multi-layer shielding to reduce (high frequent) interferences. The layers consist in a Carbon layer and a Copper mesh. The electrical ground and shielding are fully separated. The shielding has the ability to be separately grounded (see Grounding paragraph for more detail).
The improved shielding techniques makes following possible:
- Higher micro-detail retrieval
- Greater dynamic realism
- Superior noise rejection
TERMINATION
ETI RESEARCH CODA CONNECTORS
Each interconnect is terminated with one of the worlds best connectors, the CODA by ETI Research. The connectors are made out of pure Silver and are High-tech, microscopic laser welded to the TANSO pure silver wires, to form a point to point connection, without any contact resistance in the signal path.
Benefits are:
- No impurities due to solder joints.
- Reduced phase shift distortion
- Improved signal purity
- Reduced signal loss

GROUNDING SOLUTION
Each TANSO interconnect has fully separated electrical and mechanical grounds. The interconnect has the ability to connect the mechanical ground to the receiving chassis, a grounding device, or your central electrical ground. A Detachable TANOSHIMI grounding wire is included with each cable. You have a choice in a spade connector to connect to your equipment chassis, or power plug to directly ground to your mains ground.
This topology ensures:
- Improved signal purity
- Reduced signal loss
- Higher micro-detail retrieval
- Greater dynamic realism
- Superior noise rejection
